Formulating the Catalogue from the Ingredient Sheet
Talemi Co is an independent wellness catalogue based in London. The studio selects body creams and daily vitamin complexes based on ingredient transparency, independent sourcing review, and formulation documentation — not on brand profile or commercial arrangement.
02 / Origin
A catalogue started from a sourcing question
The Talemi Co catalogue was assembled in response to a single, recurring sourcing question: what does a body cream or vitamin supplement actually contain, and where do those ingredients originate? The difficulty in obtaining a reliable answer — from labels, marketing materials, or brand websites — led the selection team to build a review process from scratch.
The process prioritises the ingredient sheet as the primary document. A product is not listed in the catalogue until its full ingredient list, concentration data, and supplier origin have been reviewed by an independent team member with no commercial interest in the outcome.
The result is a compact catalogue — eight entries across two product lines — that changes only when sourcing data changes, not when a new product reaches the market.
03 / Guiding Principles
Principle I
Ingredient first
The full ingredient list is reviewed before any other aspect of a product is assessed. Packaging, brand story, and marketing copy are considered separately and do not influence the ingredient review.
Principle II
Documented sourcing
Supplier documentation is requested for every product before listing. Where documentation is unavailable or incomplete, the entry is withheld from the catalogue until the record is satisfactory.
Principle III
Independent review
No catalogue entry is reviewed by a team member who holds a commercial relationship with the supplier. Any potential overlap is disclosed and the entry is reviewed by a different individual.
Principle IV
Compact range
The catalogue is kept deliberately compact. Fewer entries with complete documentation are preferred over a broad range with partial records. Additions are made only when the full sourcing process is complete.
Principle V
Ongoing maintenance
Records are updated when formulation changes are notified. The catalogue is not a static list — it is maintained as a living document that reflects the current sourcing data held on file.
Principle VI
No advisory claims
The catalogue presents informational observations, not advisory recommendations. Talemi Co is an independent wellness catalogue — it is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.
04 / The Selection Team
A small, independent review group
The Talemi Co selection team is small by intention. A compact group allows for closer oversight of each entry and reduces the structural pressure to expand the catalogue in order to justify operational costs. Each reviewer is responsible for a defined stage in the review process and for maintaining their section of the sourcing record.
The team includes individuals with backgrounds in independent quality review, nutritional research documentation, and body care formulation. Commercial relationships with suppliers are disclosed on joining and reviewed annually.
The studio operates from a single location at 71 71 Danbury Street, London N1 8LE, United Kingdom, London EC1N, Monday to Friday. Catalogue enquiries and supplier documentation requests are directed to [email protected].

05 / Editorial Position
“The catalogue exists because the ingredient sheet is rarely the starting point in a wellness purchase. At Talemi Co it is always the starting point.”
